I love a good D.I.Y. and I’m always perusing Pinterest for my next crafty present, decoration, or recipe! Today I made an elegant, simple, 5-minute craft from Dollar Tree and wanted to share with you all how you can make it too.
Now, I wasn’t exactly sure what to call it because it can be so many things! I guess we will go with candle/candy holder since that’s what I put in mine but you can put candy or mints in it for when you have guests over, you can put a candle in it, you can even get some pretty potpourri to put inside and place it in your bathroom. It’s so versatile to whatever you need and those are the crafts I like best.
What You’ll Need
- 2 small candlesticks – $1 each
- A mason jar or vase – $1
- Some ribbon – $1 (or free if you already have some)
- E6000 glue – $3-5 at Walmart/Target/Michael’s (you can use this again in the future too!)
Total cost: $3-10 depending on what you already have at home
Glue the two candlesticks together with the E6000
***This glue can takes some time to dry but you can still do the entire project in 5 minutes and then set it aside for the night***
Glue the mason jar or vase to the top
Add some ribbon around the candle stick to match your decor or the season; and finally, add whatever you’d like inside! I’ve added some sour gummy watermelons to one and some sea glass and a candle to the other. You can add whatever matches your decor or what you are putting inside – the purple ribbon doesn’t really match mine but it’s all I had on hand at the moment haha
I hope you enjoyed this quick little craft! I think the end result is so classy and elegant and it’s all from Dollar Tree! I know some people who would go to places like Pier 1 and pay $20+ for something like this. It’s is also a great craft to do with your kids (just be sure you help with the glue) and can be used as a gift for their teacher! Throw a Starbucks gift card in there and some candy and a teacher will love it. Whoever thinks you need to go out and spend a fortune to make your house look expensive was very wrong.
